Thanks to everyone who supported our campaign in 2008. We could not have done it without all of you. For current Green Party information visit Peoria Area Greens or the Illinois Green Party.

I am the most qualified candidate based on education, work experience, life experience, and community service. Given that the most pressing issues today are energy, the environment, education and international affairs, my experience is well suited to addressing these issues. The economy is the other pressing issue, and addressing it adequately will require understanding connections to energy and the environment, especially with respect to global climate change, which, as a scientist and educator, I will bring to Congress.

Dedicated to People First

I am an independent voice speaking for each citizen, not for money, and not for special interests. I will return the voice of the individual to Washington.

Where I Stand

  • Practical Idealism Common sense, common ground, consistent life solutions to divisive issues such as abortion and gun control.
  • Sustainable Economy A retooled economy based on sustainability, and new green jobs - jobs that won’t leave the country.
  • Serious Path to Peace A return of full control to the Iraqi government and the United Nations, enabling an Iraqi-led peace process. Engagement of regional actors including the Arab League and implement security arrangements that build a stable Iraq
  • Election Reform Real democracy that involves everyone, re-engaging the disenfranchised. Implement instant runoff voting so multiple parties can be heard.
  • Health Care for All Assure fair, equitable, and affordable health care for all, with no one left out; a single payer system is the only way to achieve this goal.
